An Ashton-on-Ribble woman is celebrating after winning a luxury food and drink hamper in a free raffle held by Hollinwood Homes for the local community.
The Garstang-based housebuilder held the raffle as athank you to the neighbours of Ashton Bank, the popular new homes developmentbeing built in Ashton-on-Ribble.
Every home in the surrounding area was entered into theraffle free of charge and three winners were drawn at random. Mrs Rigby ofThurnham Road picked up first prize.
The raffle is just one of a number of community relationsinitiatives being undertaken by Hollinwood Homes at Ashton Bank as part of itscommitment to the Considerate Contractors scheme.
The housebuilder recently teamed up with Lea PrimarySchool to run a special health and safety awareness project, arranging for theConsiderate Contractors mascot Ivor Goodsite to visit the school and for pupilsto design health and safety posters to be displayed at the site.
Other initiatives include a donation of garden furnitureto be used by residents at Bay Tree Farm nursing home.
Contractors and construction companies who sign up to theConsiderate Contractors scheme commit tobeing considerate and good neighbours, as well as respectful, environmentallyconscious, responsible and accountable. In addition they must also considertheir appearance and safety.
Ashton Bank site manager Peter Blakey said:

When it is complete, Ashton Bank will consist of 138 newhomes including one and two bedroom apartments and two, three and four bedroomtownhouses, as well as semi-detached and detached homes.
